ADA, accessibility and ALDS

JQH Arena is fully accessible for patrons with disabilities. There are accessible seating options in both the lower and upper bowl of the arena, and tickets for these areas may be purchased based on availability.

Elevators are located at the midpoint of both the Bancorp South Concourse (North side) and the Mercy Concourse (South side); the elevators are reserved for patrons with disabilities or those who have difficulty using stairs.

Patrons who are hard of hearing may obtain an assistive listening device at the JQH Arena Guest Service Center located to the left of the main entrance.

Accessible parking is located in lot 25 located at 741 S. Clay Street and is available to anyone with a disabled placard or license plate.

Accessible seat relocation

In the event a guest requires accessible seating for a particular game or event, accommodations can be made prior to the game based on availability. Contact the Missouri State University Ticket Office at 417-836-7678 to help make accommodations.

Alcohol

For University athletic competitions held in JQH Arena, sale of alcohol (beer and wine only; no spirits) will be permitted, but the sale and consumption shall be limited to patrons of legal age, subject to all applicable laws and regulations, in the following restricted areas: suites, loge seating, and the PRIME Overtime Club. Sale, possession, or consumption of alcohol will not be allowed in any other area of JQH Arena. No outside alcohol may be brought into JQH Arena. Alcoholic beverages, open or closed, cannot be removed from these areas and will not be allowed in the concourses. Alcohol may not be available at all events in JQH Arena.

For non-University athletic competitions held in JQH Arena, sale of alcohol may be sold throughout the facility and will depend on the event.

Automated Teller Machines (ATM)

An ATM is located in Lot 4 (corner of Grand and JQH Parkway). All concession areas accept debit cards, credit cards and cash.

Baby changing stations

All public Men’s, Women’s and Family restrooms are equipped with baby changing stations. Restrooms are located in each concourse. Family restrooms are located at the midpoint of both the Bancorp South (north) and Mercy (south) concourses.

Cameras

Small still cameras are permitted for athletic events, however, large professional cameras with mono- or tripods are not allowed into the facility. This policy will vary for non-athletic events and will be determined by the event promoter.

Videotaping of any form is not allowed in the arena during events.

Concessions

JQH Arena feature 8 concession stands with 24 points of sale. Each stand is themed to match its menu offerings and the stands include:

  • Hot Dog Nation—Specialty Hot Dogs, Brats, Polish Sausages and other classics
  • Bears Grill—Classic concession stand
  • Black Angus—Special Burgers and other classics
  • The Q—Barbeque
  • Legacy Grill—Classic concession stand
  • Get Your Kicks Café--Starbucks
  • Chick-Fil-A- Chicken and other classics
  • Hiland Dairy—Ice Cream

Contacting a patron

In an emergency situation only, you may contact a patron during an event if you know their seat location by calling the Guest Service Center at 417-836-3369.

Elevators

Public elevators are located at the midpoint of both the Mercy (south) and Bancorp South (north) concourse.

Entry and re-entry

Gates open 1 hour prior to the start of most special events and Missouri State athletic events for general ticket holders. Suite holders and PRIME Overtime Club members may enter the facility 1.50 hours before the start of the athletic event. During athletic events, patrons may enter the facility through the Main Entrance (southeast entrance) or through entrances located on the northwest and southwest corners. During non-University athletic events, the facility uses only the southeast entrance into the facility. 

The northeast exit will serve as the Smoker’s gate. Those wishing to step outside and smoke may only do so through this exit. Anyone using this area will receive a hand stamp and must re-enter through the northeast door. 

Patrons may exit the facility permanently at any of the four exits.

Evacuation

In the event of an evacuation during an event, patrons will be given instructions by JQH Arena personnel over our PA system. JQH Arena employees will help assist in the event of an evacuation.

First aid

The First Aid station is located in the Guest Service Center on the left side of the main entrance.

Food and drink

Cans, bottles, coolers, plastic beverages and food bought outside JQH Arena are not permitted inside the facility. Food and beverage may be purchased once inside JQH Arena. Allowances may be made for medical exceptions.

Guest Service Center

The Guest Service Center is located on the left side of the Main Entrance as you enter the facility, directly behind Section A on the concourse level. A guest services representative will be available to assist patrons with any questions or concerns they may have while in the facility.

Hall of Fame

The Missouri State Athletics Hall of Fame is located in the Price Cutter concourse on the east side of the facility. The Athletics Hall of Fame honors teams and student-athletes whose contributions to Missouri State have helped distinguish the University’s athletics program as one of the best in the nation. Complete with interactive displays and memorabilia, the Hall of Fame will illustrate the history of athletics at Missouri State, honor student-athletes, coaches and will showcase Missouri State’s rich athletic legacy.

Handouts

The distribution of promotional items, handbills, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted in or around JQH Arena without the express consent of Missouri State University and Athletics Department.

Internet access

Internet access is not available in the facility unless the individual already has a Missouri State University account and password (students, faculty, staff members).

Listening devices

Patrons who are hard of hearing may obtain an assistive listening device at the JQH Arena Guest Service Center located to the left of the main entrance.

Loge seating

The east end of JQH Arena features 107 loge seats housed in the PRIME Overtime Club. Loge seating includes a full service wait staff at your seat, padded leather chairs and a buffet style countertop, all of which allow you to watch the game in style.

Lost and found

During an event, Lost & Found is kept in the Guest Service Center located to the left of the main entrance. Once the event is over, all items are kept in the JQH Arena box office. If you are inquiring about a lost item after an event, please call the box office at 417-836-7678.

Lost parents/children

Lost parents and children are taken to Guest Service Center located to the left of the main entrance.

Merchandise—BearWear Team Store

The BearWear Team Store is located to the right of the main entrance. Featuring the latest Missouri State apparel and souvenir items, the Missouri State BearWear Team Store is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm., and opens 90 minutes prior to JQH Arena events. Parking

General parking for Men’s and Women’s basketball events is available to the public in the Bear Park North parking facility and Bear Park South parking facility. 

Disabled parking is located directly southwest of the main entrance, and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis to individuals displaying a disabled parking license plate or placard. 

Bears Fund members are permitted to park in the designated J, Q, and H lots with the appropriate Bears Fund parking hang tag. Bears Fund lots will open to the general public 15 minutes after the start of the athletic event. 

For non-University athletic events, parking is available in all non-reserved campus lots.  There may be a $10 parking fee on all university parking lots during special events. 

Pets

Pets are not permitted in JQH Arena. However, certified working (or in training) service animals that assist a patron with a disability are welcome. Please check with the Missouri State Ticket Office for accessible seating.

For the safety and security of all patrons, certain items may not be brought into JQH Arena. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Outside food or beverage
  • Cans
  • Bottles
  • Coolers
  • Thermoses
  • Backpacks
  • Large bags (gym, duffel, and tote)
  • Luggage
  • Strollers
  • Laser pointers
  • Flags
  • Noisemakers
  • Weapons
  • Balloons
  • Gifts
  • Flowers
  • Beach balls

 All patrons entering JQH Arena are subject to search, this varies by event. Storage facilities are not available for checking prohibited items.

Restrooms

JQH Arena has multiple restroom facilities located throughout the arena on the concourse level only. All restrooms are accessible for disabled guests. For the closest facility, please see a guest service representative.

Smoke-free facility

JQH Arena is a smoke-free facility. The northeast exit will serve as the Smokers gate, those wishing to stop outside and smoke may only do so through this exit. Anyone using this area will be required to receive a hand stamp and must re-enter only through northeast exit.

Sportsmanship

Missouri State University, the Missouri Valley Conference, and the NCAA promote good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches, and spectators. Please support the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profane, racial, sexist or other abusive comments or actions directed at officials, student-athletes, visiting team fans, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal.

Suites

All of the 24 private suites, each of which seats at least 16, have been reserved. Entrance to all suites is from the main concourse level of the arena and suite amenities include: private restrooms, flat screen televisions, refrigerators, sinks, luxury seating and food service.

Ticket information

Daily ticket operations for JQH Arena and all Missouri State Athletic events take place at the Ticket Window, located directly to the left as you enter JQH Arena.

If an event is scheduled during the weekend, the Ticket Office will open for sales and Will-Call pick-up at 8:30am for events that begin in the morning or afternoon and at 10:00am for events that have evening start times. Please note that a photo ID is required for will-call pickup.

Tickets may be purchased in-person at the Ticket Office, or by phone at 1-888-476-7849 or 417-836-7678. Tickets may be purchased with Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Tickets sold at the window may also be purchased with check or cash. 

Please note that there are no exchanges or refunds on tickets purchased. All sales are final. 

Children under the age of two do not require a ticket if they sit on the adult’s lap during a Missouri State Athletic event. This policy varies for other events.
